Zontes 125X: The rules have changed

Wait until you hear the best part. In its quest for super-low weight, Zontes hasn’t compromised on anything. On the contrary, the lightweight aluminum frame, weighing just 8.5 kg, has passed the most demanding fatigue and impact tests.

The 125X’s clever and efficient design, despite its compact dimensions, has allowed it to feature a huge, illuminated under-seat storage compartment large enough for two full-face helmets , as well as a generous 11-litre fuel tank for a range exceeding 250 miles. Impressive!

And its engine?

Zontes has designed a completely new engine for its 125X : more compact, lighter, and more powerful, reaching 15 hp , the legal limit for the category, and 13 Nm of torque. Brilliant and smooth at the same time, the compact and powerful liquid-cooled, 4-valve cylinder head engine of the 125X positions itself at the top of the category with cutting-edge solutions such as the forged piston, DLC coating on the main mechanical components, and ceramic coating on the cylinder.

Other solutions, such as double oil filtration and the raised intake, allow for a 3750 mile/6,000 km service interval . Combined with the reduced weight of the engine, this results in outstanding performance and a low official fuel consumption of just 109 mpg, thanks in part to its easily switchable start-stop system.

Yes, much more! The 125X is a Zontes and, therefore, comes with an abundance of equipment . It features Traction Control , a high-contrast TFT instrument panel —configurable and with connectivity—advanced navigation, smartphone mirroring , tyre pressure and temperature monitoring , and more.

The powerful and personalised Full LED lighting features 4 powerful front modules and a distinctive X-shaped DRL.

The Keyless start system is third generation and manages, like a central locking system, the opening of the tank and the seat.
